Free to use. Open to the Fediverse.

Social life. On your terms.

Welley is where you post, chat, run groups and plan events. Join our server or run your own, and follow people on Mastodon and other Fediverse apps too.

Conversations

Long threads and quick chats

Use forum topics when a discussion runs long, and direct messages or rooms for the quick stuff. You always know who can read along.

For each topic, the list shows its category, tags, replies, views, participants and emoji reactions.
Reply in a thread without breaking into the main conversation. The thread has its own box for writing.

Writing

Posts, short or long

Write a quick note or a whole thread. Save a draft for later, add photos or a poll, and pick who sees each post.

A chain keeps connected posts in one form. Each part has its own text and controls, and you publish the whole chain in one step.

Communities

Groups

Each group gets its own feed, forum, rooms and events. Set some rules, hand out roles, and moderate when you need to. A private group keeps everything on its own server, and people from other servers can still join.

Riverside Garden's community profile shows its description and member directory.

Events

Plan things together

Set up a garden workday or a neighborhood meetup. See who's coming, talk it over in the event's discussion, and subscribe from the calendar app you already use.

Someone who's invited answers Yes, No or Maybe. The organizer sees who's going.

Apps

Built from apps

Everything in Welley on the web is an app, even chess. That's why new apps can be built and shared. We're working on productivity apps that groups can install.

Two members of the Riverside Garden group play a game of chess. The players and comments are next to the board.
